Meet Eleni, our guide in the White Mountains

Eleni grew up hiking the gorges around Chania. Today she leads small groups through trails most travelers never find on their own.

Eleni grew up in a village where the White Mountains were not a destination but a daily reference point. Weather, routes, and seasons were discussed the way other places discuss traffic.

She began guiding small groups after friends asked her to show them trails beyond the well-known gorges. Her approach is slow, observant, and deeply local: botany, history, and the stories of families who still work the high pastures.

On the trail, Eleni sets a pace that leaves room for conversation. She stops where the view opens, not where a checklist says to stop, and she adjusts routes based on conditions and group energy.

Travelers often tell us her hikes feel less like tours and more like walking with someone who knows the land as home. That is exactly the kind of host relationship we aim to build across Greece.
