1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Go The Local Way ("the Platform"), operated by Go The Local Way Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
Go The Local Way is an AI-powered travel platform that connects travelers with curated local experiences. Our services include:
- AI travel assistant for itinerary planning and recommendations
- Marketplace of curated local experiences and activities
- Booking and reservation management
- Communication tools between travelers and local experience providers
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. AI Travel Assistant
4.1 Nature of AI Recommendations
Our AI assistant provides suggestions based on available data, user preferences, and local knowledge. Recommendations are informational and do not constitute professional travel advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or suitability of any AI-generated suggestion.
4.2 Limitations
AI-generated itineraries may contain inaccuracies regarding availability, pricing, operating hours, or conditions. Always verify critical details directly with experience providers before making travel decisions.
5. Bookings and Payments
5.1 Booking Process
When you book an experience through the Platform, you enter into a contract directly with the local experience provider. We act as an intermediary facilitating the transaction.
5.2 Pricing
All prices are displayed in EUR unless otherwise stated. Prices include applicable taxes unless noted. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors.
5.3 Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms vary by experience provider and plan tier. Traveler plan members receive free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled experience. Explorer plan users follow the provider's individual cancellation policy displayed at booking.
6. Local Partners
Experience providers ("Local Partners") are independent third parties, not employees or agents of Go The Local Way. We vet partners for quality and safety but do not control their operations. Partners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the delivery of experiences.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
- Provide false or misleading information
- Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data without authorization
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Post defamatory, abusive, or harmful content in reviews
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, AI-generated recommendations, and software — is owned by Go The Local Way or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Go The Local Way shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:
- Issues with booked experiences (quality, cancellation, injury)
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated recommendations
- Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
- Third-party actions or omissions (local partners, transport providers)
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece). Parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal proceedings shall be brought before the courts of Athens, Greece.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
